Crime Watch -- Clinton Police Department

These criminal charges are merely accusations and the accused are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.

June 30

n Stephen B. Figg, 24, 2605 N. Third St., reported fraud.

 Renee C. Dean, 40, 1808 Pershing Blvd., reported a theft from a vehicle. Loss was $210 for a seven-inch tablet, lunch bag, miscellaneous women’s clothing and a headset with boom microphone.

July 1

 Douglas W. Witt, 52, 720 N. Third St., reported the theft of a vehicle from the alley in the 500 block between Fourth and Fifth avenues south. The vehicle was recovered, but property was stolen from inside it. Loss was $135 for metal crutches, purple locker dividers, a blue drawstring bag and a set of keys.

 James S. Whetsel, 37, 719 S. Sixth St., was arrested in the 600 block of Seventh Avenue South for public intoxication.

 Patricia E. McDermott, 69, 234 17th Place, reported the theft of a trash can.

 Angela R. Bechtel, 69, 2727 N. Second St., reported criminal mischief at 824 Fifth Ave. South. Loss was $150 for a door frame.

 Charlotte E. Spors, 35, Fitchburg, Wisconsin, was arrested at 2225 Lincolnway for public intoxication.

July 2

 A 17-year-old female was arrested at 2715 S. 25th St. for fourth-degree theft.

 A representative of Wal-Mart reported a theft. Loss was $240.72 for makeup, jewelry, clothing and other merchandise.

 Brandon L. Hagen, 27, 2327 Garfield St., was arrested at 2715 S. 25th St. for trespassing.

 A representative of Wal-Mart, 2715 S. 25th St., reported trespassing.

 Tim A. Stanley, 57, 400 23rd Place, reported a theft. Loss was $1,300 for two flat-screen televisions and a gas grill.

July 3

 Sophia R. Rummerer, 18, 1400 Fourth St., Fulton, Illinois, reported criminal mischief to a vehicle in the parking lot at Fifth Avenue South and South First Street. Loss was $10 for a rubber door seal.

 Matthew D. Bark, 33, 751/2 Main Ave., was arrested at 2422 N. Second St. for violation of a criminal protective order.

 Saleana M. Raab, 25, 2422 N. Second St., reported the violation of a no-contact order.
