Gifford volunteers

Kambreona Brasher, 16, left, of Thomasboro, a junior at Rantoul Township High School, and Tammy Beasley, of St. Joseph, both volunteers who said they just wanted to help, pick up debris in Mark Billings' backyard in Gifford on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. American Red Cross volunteers, still in response mode, were also approaching Gifford residents impacted by last Sunday's tornado to inquire about basic needs as well as gather insurance information. Other volunteers, like Brasher and Beasley, who wanted to help with the Red Cross's efforts, went to Gordyville where they were shuttled to Gifford to clean up debris and to assist with residents' needs.
