SAVANNA, Ill. — Audrey Mae Sweitzer, 92, of Savanna, died Wednesday at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna.

Burial will be in Lanark (Ill.) Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Sabula to John Percy and Rosa Hinrichs Clark. On June 6, 1941, she married Russell Sweitzer. He died in 2002.

She graduated from Sabula High School.

She was a country school teacher in Iowa for nine years. She worked at Stransky Farm Supply in Savanna for 25 years and for the American Red Cross for 50 years.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 148 and a former member of the Wa-Tan-Ye Club in Savanna.

Survivors include one brother, Lyle (Elaine) Clark of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one brother-in-law, Rich Rambeaux of Brandon, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Clark of Whitesboro, N.Y., and Mary Clark of Preston; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.
