CLINTON — The Balloons in June Board has announced that the 2009 Balloons in June event has been canceled.

According to a press release from the Balloons in June Board and Paul Schneider, the decision was made after extensive discussions and careful examination of the project’s operating revenues and expenses and the current economy.

The release stated the board wishes to thank everyone who helped or sponsored the event in the past. The board will begin evaluating the feasibility of a 2010 Balloons in June event, with the hope that eventually, balloons will once again fly over the city of Clinton.
