SAVANNA, Ill. — Carlos Rubio, 76, of Savanna, died Monday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

He was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Orchard, Idaho, to Agapito and Irene Gonzalos Rubio.

He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Savanna.

He was a foreman with the Everlot Screw Factory in Chicago.

Survivors include his companion, Theresa Baran of Savanna; four daughters, Angie Deavila of Rock Falls, Ill., Theresa Coronado of Sterling, Ill., and Julie Rubio and Tina Rubio, both of Richmond, Texas; three grandchildren; one brother, Jose “Joe” Rubio of Las Vegas; and one sister, JoAnn Perez of Hawthorne, Nev.
