CAMANCHE — Clara J. Haring, 65, of Camanche, IA, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009, at home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, with Pastor Ryan Carpenter of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be Dale Neymeyer, Bob Bresnahan, Colby and Bennie Renfro, Wayne Hurst and Jeff Jewell. Honorary pallbearer will be Joshua Neymeyer. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Clara J. Haring was born on June 24, 1943, in Thayer, MO, to Ivory G. and Viola L. (Reed) Jewell. She was a graduate of Mammoth Spring High School in Arkansas. Clara married Gary Haring on November 5, 1960, in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Clara was a former bookkeeper and office manager in the Clinton area and most recently was a para-educator in the Clinton Community School District. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clinton, IA, for over 45 years and was very active in the church, serving as Sunday school teacher and volunteering in many areas of Vacation Bible School. Clara loved to read and quilt, making quilts for her grandchildren and many others in her life. She dearly loved her family, all children and her pets.

Clara is survived by her husband, Gary of Camanche, IA; three daughters, Debbi (Blair) Renfro of Bayfield, CO; Patty (Dale) Neymeyer of Camanche, IA, and Tawnia (Bob) Bresnahan; eight grandchildren, Colby, Bennie and Marissa Renfro of Bayfield, CO, Rachel and Joshua Neymeyer of Camanche, IA, and Heather, Hannah and Will Bresnahan of Camanche, IA; two brothers, Allen Jewell of Clinton, IA, and Don Jewell of Mammoth Spring, AK; a sister, Lucille Cisco of Thayer, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents.
