A Clinton man has been arrested on warrants charging him with four counts of sexual exploitation of children and two counts of telephone dissemination of obscene material to a minor.

Kristopher L. Coon, 20 616 Sixth Ave. South, was arrested Friday at his residence and was taken to the Clinton County Jail. Bond was set at $10,000 cash.

According to court documents, Clinton police interviewed a 12-year-old female who stated that from around June 26 through July 6, she dated Coon. She said he asked her to send pictures of unclothed areas of her breast and genitals to him via cell phone and she complied, sending three such photos.

In each case Coon allegedly had requested the photos prior to her sending the photos to him.

Then on Aug. 23, police interviewed another 12-year-old female who described a dating relationship with Coon, the court records state. She identified two pictures she took of her unclothed breast and sent to his cell phone. He allegedly asked that she send such photos to him.

Both alleged victims said Coon sent photos of his groin area to the girls via cell phone.

Sexual exploitation of a minor is a class C felony that carries a possible sentence of up to 10 years in prison upon conviction.

Telephone dissemination of obscene material to a minor is an aggravated misdemeanor.

His next court appearance will be a preliminary hearing at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 6.

A no-contact order with the alleged victims is in place.
