SABULA — Erin Nicole Ruchotzke, 22, of Sabula, died Friday at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

Burial will be in Springlake Cemetery in rural Savanna, Ill.

She was born Jan. 2, 1985, in Clinton to Kenneth L. and Maria I. Kloth Ruchotzke.

She graduated from East Central High School in Miles in 2003. She was currently enrolled at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She was completing degrees in both early childhood education and elementary education.

She worked at the Price Laboratory Child Development Center in Cedar Falls and also was employed with Payless Shoe Store in Waterloo.

Survivors include her parents, Kenneth Ruchotzke of Sabula and Maria (Ron) Thulion of Savanna; one sister, Corinn Ruchotzke of Sabula; one stepbrother, Tim Thulion of Baltimore; one stepsister, Tracy (Adam) Peterson of Lester Prairie, Minn.; grandmother, Norma Ruchotzke of Miles; great-grandmother, Betty Rathje of Sabula; stepgrandparents, Rocky (Jeanne) Bess of Savanna; and aunts, uncles, cousins, a great-aunt and uncle.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.
