SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Herbert H. Lister, 76, of 2116 N. 38th St., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday evening, March 18, 2009, at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Following his service, Herb continued his education at the University of Iowa, where he received his BA Degree in Business Administration. In 1960, Herb received his Masters Degree in Business Administration and Science from Bradley University.

On June 8, 1958, Herbert and Donna Krabbenhoft were united in marriage in Preston, Iowa. They resided in Naperville, Illinois, until moving to Sheboygan in 1966. Donna preceded him in death on January 29, 2009.

Herb was employed by the Kohler Co. as manager of corporate purchasing. He later owned and operated Lister Industrial Supply until his retirement.

Herb will always be remembered for his unselfish kindness. He was always a true gentleman. “Papa” loved his granddaughters, Julia and Rachel, and spoiled them by cooking their favorite “thinners” and making “Papa Juice.” Herb also enjoyed his “life’s lessons” conversations with his daughter-in-law, Denise, and son-in-law, Brian. Nothing was more joyous than sharing the 50th wedding anniversary June 8, 2008, with the of his life, Donna.

Survivors include his children, Laura (Brian) Wiggin and Blaine (Denise) Lister, all of Sheboygan; granddaughters, Rachel and Julia Wiggin; and other family members and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Herb was preceded in death by a infant brother, Harry Pope Lister Jr.
