FULTON, Ill. — A memorial motorcycle ride will be held Saturday to celebrate the life of Donna Bounds, who was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Florida last week.

Reports indicate Bounds, 58, of Palmetto, Fla., was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on State Road 45 in Palmetto when the motorcycle and a vehicle driven by Ruth Patricia Gerding, 30, of St. Petersburg, Fla., collided. Bounds was ejected from her motorcycle and thrown into the intersection.

The memorial ride will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Brown Dog Saloon, 1112 Fourth St. in Fulton.

Participants are asked to arrive at the saloon at 12:30 p.m. Riders will travel to several area establishments and details of the ride will be available upon departure from the Brown Dog. The ride will end at Howard’s on Main Street in Albany, Ill. Refreshments will be available at Howard’s. For more information on the ride, contact Julie Meiners at (563) 249-5681.
