PROPHETSTOWN, Ill. — Pauline D. Rhine, 94, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, Ill., and formerly of Lyndon and Morrison, Ill., died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, with the Rev. Thomas R. Petty, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

Memorials may be made to the Morrison Fire Department.

She was born March 13, 1915, in Morrison to Roy and Margaret (Geiger) Teach.

She was educated in Morrison grade schools and attended Morrison High School.

She married Earl A. Rhine on January 16, 1937, in Albany, IL; he died November 10, 1993.

She was employed by Climco, Morrison, IL.

She was a former member of Lyndon United Methodist Church. She was a current member Morrison United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Minerva Chapter #6, Prophetstown, IL. Pauline enjoyed horse racing and coffee time with her friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Bev (Duane) VanOosten of Rock Falls, IL, and Barb (Jim) Ottens, Morrison, IL; three grandchildren, Alan Van Oosten, Gary Van Oosten, Brian Johnson; one stepgranddaughter, Stacey Hallman; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey VanOosten; and one sister, Mrs. Althea Capper of DeWitt, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one stepgrandson, Corey Ottens; one great-grandson, Christopher Alan VanOosten; one sister, Anna Bradley; two brothers, Clifford and Lloyd Teach.
