FULTON, Ill. — Fulton, Ill., police responded to a bomb scare on Saturday night at Kelly’s Food Mart, 1615 Fourth St.

According to the Fulton police department, it responded to a report of a suspicious device located beneath the propane tanks at Kelly’s Food Mart. When they arrived, they found a small piece of PVC tubing with caps on both ends.

Police contacted the Quad-Cities Bomb Squad to investigate. The bomb squad discovered the tube did not contain an explosive device; rather, the PVC tube was used by the propane company to store paperwork.
