CLINTON — The Clinton School Board on Monday night approved a collective bargaining agreement with the Clinton Education Association that represents a 3.78 percent package settlement. The agreement was earlier ratified by 100 percent of the teachers.

In other business, the board accepted a bid of $177,040 from Beckwith Roofing for the Bluff Elementary roofing project, to approve aligning the Clinton High School and Lincoln High School calendars and to transfer scholarship funds from the school district to the Clinton Education Foundation.

The board also accepted the Health Benefits Committee’s recommendation for allowing vision insurance to be purchased by district employees at their cost and authorized the administration to move forward with design discussions for the CHS aquatic project and the elementary HVAC project.

The district also celebrated many achievements by district students, including the Clinton High School Symphonic Band's I rating at the State Large Ensemble Contest over the weekend. Board President Thea Engelson said the honor tops off a sweep by band students, who this year also earned I ratings at marching band and jazz band state competitions.
