DEWITT — The Department of Inspections and Appeals reinstated Community Care Inc.’s unrestricted license for the RCF/PMI unit at the Charlotte Care Facility on Monday.

The unit still plans to close April 30, according to the release. During an interview in January, with the Clinton Herald Community Care, Inc. expressed finances as the reason for closing the unit.

The facility incurred fines totaling $33,000 in December, stemming from an $18,000 fine for failing to provide a safe environment.

Also, the state issued another fine $15,000 after an investigation into a resident’s death.
