CLINTON — Plans are under way for this year’s Symphony of Lights run and walk.

This Symphony of Lights begins Wednesday with the family walk from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Eagle Point Park. This is the only opportunity to enjoy the enchanting 1.1-mile view of the displays on foot and at a leisurely pace. Strollers are welcome, but please leave pets at home.

Free refreshments will be available in the lodge.

The cost for adult registration, $15, includes a long sleeve T-shirt. The cost for children’s registration (6 to 12) is $5 and does not include a T-shirt. Children younger than 6 get in free.

Due to limited parking within the park, participants are being asked to park at the Lyons Train Depot at 56 25th Ave. North and use the shuttle bus service to get to the park. Buses will run from 5:45 to 8 p.m. Several shuttle buses will be running. Only vehicles with handicap permits will be allowed within the park.

All pre-registered entrants picking up tickets the night of the event must check in at the on-call table at the Lyons Train Depot.

People purchasing tickets the night of the event must buy tickets at the Lyons Train Depot.

There will be no ticket pick-up or sales at the gate of the park. Tickets must be presented to the attendant at the gate for entrance.

5K Run

The 5K Run will take place Nov. 25 at Eagle Point Park in Clinton. The race begins at 4 p.m. The gates open at 2:30 p.m. The course will be entirely within Eagle Point Park on approximately 2 miles of rolling, paved park roads. The views provide a truly unique running experience.

The cost for registration $15 and includes a long sleeve T-shirt. Free refreshments will be available after the race in the lodge. Age divisions are: 14 and younger, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 and older. Prizes will go to overall male/female finishers and the top three runners in each age group.

Race day number and T-shirt pickup/registration is at the Eagle Point Park lodge from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. Early packet pickup will be at the Eagle Point Park Lodge during the Family Walk on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p,.m.
