CLINTON — Robert P. Holleran, CEO and vice chairman of the Board of Directors, has announced the appointment of Steven E. Thacker as the new President of Clinton National Bank.

Alvin J. Goerdt will continue as the chairman of the Board of Directors.

“We are very pleased to have a person with Steve’s background, capabilities and experience join Clinton National Bank in this leadership role,” Holleran said.

Holleran has been the President of Clinton National Bank since 1976.

From 1996 to 2001 Thacker was senior vice president and senior loan officer at Clinton National Bank.

He most recently served as president of the Gateway State Bank in Clinton.

Thacker is currently chairman of the Board for the Gateway Area Foundation and past chairman of the board for the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce.

He is the past honorary chairman for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, past president of the board for Skyline Center Inc. and a past member of the board of trustees for Franciscan University.

He is a member of Rotary and is also very active in Clinton Junior Baseball, soccer and football.

He is a graduate of Hastings College in Hastings, Neb., with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting.

He began his banking career by serving eight years as a National Bank Examiner with the Comptroller of the Currency.

Steve and his wife, Mary, reside in Clinton, with their five sons.
