CLINTON — A Clinton resident will serve jail time for a truancy violation.

Anita Horn, 55, 426 Second Ave. South, admitted to violating the terms of her probation from an earlier truancy violation. Her probation was revoked and the original 10-day sentence that was suspended was imposed.

Electronic monitoring is authorized for 20 days.

Horn pleaded guilty on Dec. 23, 2008 to violation of truancy mediation contract, second offense. She was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail, all of which was suspended, and fined $315. Horn was placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months.

A probation revocation was filed Feb. 17, 2009, due to an allegation that Horn was once again violating the truancy mediation contract. Horn’s child missed 16 class hours and had four tardies between Dec. 23, 2008 and Feb. 17, 2009, which was not in compliance with the terms of the mediation contract.
