CAMANCHE — Sarah Hythecker, Miss Clinton County 2006, will crown her successor Saturday.

The Miss Clinton County Scholarship Program will take place at Camanche High School theater beginning at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the door and may be purchased at Clinton Printing. The theme of the program is “Back to the 80s” as all the contestants were born in the 1980s.

The emcee for the evening will be Dennis Duerling and vocal entertainment will be provided by Brian Dixon.

The Miss Clinton County Dancers are from Dancemaker’s led by Sarah Raaymakers. There will be special appearances from Little Miss Clinton County Nichole Petersen, Jr. Miss Clinton County Maggie Gehlsen and Clinton County’s Outstanding Teen Karli Jacobsen. The current Miss Clinton County will co-emcee the evening and perform her talent.

The winner of Saturday night’s program will receive a $4,000 renewable scholarship to Ashford University — a four-year total of $16,000. Clinton Community College will offer a $500 scholarship to their school. The winner also will receive an $1,800 scholarship provided by the Miss Clinton County Board, Clinton Riverboat Days and the Clinton Jaycees. Additional scholarships will be provided by Gateway Travel and Cruise, Clinton Printing, Clinton Kiwanis and Necker’s Jewelers.
