A Clinton man was found guilty today for his involvement in a stabbing last fall.

A Clinton County jury  convicted Brandon Zmuda of a lesser charge than attempted murder, but did find Zmuda guilty of willful injury causing serious injury, a class C felony. Zmuda was also convicted of assault with intent to commit serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. The felony carries a 10-year prison sentence, while the misdemeanor could amount to a possible two-year sentence.

At the end of today's proceedings, the judge asked the jury if they believed that Zmuda was armed with a dangerous weapon at the time of the offense. The jury answered yes, adding another five-year sentence for Zmuda, which will likely be reduced to 2 1/2 years.

Sentencing is set for 1:30 p.m. March 31.
