Union Pacific Foundation offers $5,000 grant to CCI

DEWITT — Community Care, Inc. (CCI) recently received a $5,000 grant from the Union Pacific Foundation (UPF) for the purchase of a new extended, fully accessible lift van for individuals with developmental disabilities. CCI maintains four lift vans, which are used daily to provide transportation for individuals living in Clinton area communities, to their physician visits, home to work and home to recreation.
The extended lift vans will provide convenient transportation for those individuals who use a specialized wheelchair for most of their waking hours.
Community Care Inc. (CCI) has served individuals with disabilities for more than 20 years. More than 600 individuals, throughout Chickasaw, Clinton, Jones, Jackson, Scott and Marion counties receive CCI services, in one of eight different programs.
