Camanche tough on foes

---- — CAMANCHE -- Camanche recorded a pair of shutouts in girls tennis Saturday, beating Maquoketa and Marion by 9-0 scores at the Camanche Invitational.

Kylie Vogel and Lindsey Grams led the Indians, with neither the No. 1 (Vogel) nor No. 2 (Grams) player dropping a game in singles or doubles play. Brett Hilgendorf almost accomplished the feat, too. She had a pair of 8-0 wins at No. 4 singles and teamed with Maddie Parker to win 16 of 17 games at No. 2 doubles.

Camanche is now off until Friday, when it has a home match against Western Dubuque.
