If the temperature drops too low, Santa will move from his post in the park to the Camanche Dance Studio and Wellness center, where he will still be available to listen to all the local Christmas lists.
Although she is unsure if the event will be well attended because of those expected low temperatures, Low is happy to offer it to the residents of Camanche, and is excited for what the future may hold for it.
“This is the first time we’re really trying to organize everything. We’ve had our summer festival and our fall festival so we decided to try something for winter,” Low said. “We’ve been talking for a couple years that we wanted to have hot chocolate and just have a day in the park, because it is our main central location. So, this is our chance to get something started.”
Whether it’s for the cookies, the kids or Mr. Claus, Low encourages everyone to come out and enjoy a little bit of Christmas in Camanche.
