Herald Staff Report
The identity of the woman killed in a crash Friday has been released by the Iowa State Patrol.
Amanda Gonner, 24, of Baldwin, was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on Friday where she died from her injuries Sunday.
According to the crash report, Gonner ran her 2002 Ford Taurus into a semi at 7:52 a.m. in the 1800 block of U.S. 61, near Welton.
The investigation shows that the semi, driven by Roger Brighton, 59, of Monticello, was stopped for an accident that occurred minutes before. Gonner failed to realize traffic had stopped and drove into the back of the semi, according to the report.
