CLINTON — A Clinton hotel has been honored for top performance in its company.
The Hampton Inn earned the Lighthouse award by Hilton Worldwide, designating the facility as one of the hotel chain’s top performing hotels among 1,900 Hampton properties.
The Hampton Inn in Clinton is the only hotel in Iowa to receive the Lighthouse award this year.
Eric Wahrman, general manager of Clinton’s Hampton Inn, credited staff members for the award.
“I thank the staff for their hard work and dedication to the property, by earning the Lighthouse award, they have shown that they can achieve anything,” Wahrman said.
The Hampton Inn in Clinton is one of the top 5 percent of Hampton hotels recognized for its high rankings in overall guest experience, accommodations, service and quality in 2013. The award criteria was based on customer feedback measured through guest satisfaction surveys on the hotel, as well as product quality and service scores measured quarterly by the Hampton Hotels brand.
The Clinton property was built in 2012, with 76 guest units and an indoor pool.
Clinton Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Carrie Donaire was proud of the staff and management for earning this award.
“It is a real testament to their dedication to hospitality and we can be proud to promote this property to guests who come to Clinton,” Donaire said.
