Raffle to offer shopping spree, buy computer tablets

CLINTON — A raffle created by Clinton School District officials will help purchase computer tablets for student use and put food on the table for three lucky winners.

The Clinton School District's Student Adventures Afterschool Program this week will begin selling raffle ticket for $10 each, with one winner selected to have a three-minute shopping spree at HyVee in Clinton. Second- and third-place winners will receive a large meat bundle and a small meat bundle, respectively.

Tickets will be available for sale through May 15, with the raffle drawing at noon May 16. The shopping spree will be May 21.

Proceeds from the raffle will go toward acquiring computer tablets for teachers to use in tutoring students in reading, math, science and technology.

Tickets will be available from afterschool program staff members, the HyVee service desk, at Ashford University Field, Clinton National Bank, Clinton Community College and the Clinton Schools' Administration Center.
