School board approves raises

CLINTON - Clinton School District administrators, para-educators and bus drivers will receive raises next school year, the Clinton School Board decided Monday.

During a special board meeting, the board approved a 2.5 percent total package increase for administrators and directors.

Administrator salaries for the 2013-2014 school year will be: student services director, $101,325; curriculum director, $110,385; human resources director, $112,860; elementary school principals, $102,910; middle school principals, $105,685; associate middle school principal, $88,735; high school principal, $122,255; two associate high school principals, $92,125; one associate high school principal, $95,435; and athletic director, $102,580.

Supervisor salaries for the 2013-2014 school year will be: chief financial officer, $95,000; plant services director, $81,905; food service director, $64,715; IT director, $52,255; transportation director, $59,355; associate transportation director, $33,375; chief mechanic, $46,100; and at-risk coordinator, $73,720.

Superintendent Deb Olson will receive a 2.5 percent increase next school year that will bring her salary to $156,129.

Collective bargaining contracts with the Communication Workers of America - para-educators and the Service Employees International Union - bus drivers were approved. Para-educators were granted a 3.2 percent total package increase while bus drivers will receive a 3.2 percent per hour across-the-board salary schedule increase.

The board approved the increases 4-0 with members Jim McGraw, Jack Wenzel and Mercia Wolf absent.
