CLINTON — The Clinton MTA is seeking the public’s input.
The Municipal Transit Administration will host an informational and planning meeting from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Ericksen Community Center. The meeting is open to the public and the meeting is intended to receive information regarding transit planning.
MTA Director Dennis Hart said the data gleaned from the meeting will help the bus service agency make plans catering to its users.
“It all depends on what the suggestions are, but the information might be stuff that we discuss with the (City Council) at budget discussions,” Hart said.
The MTA held a similar meeting more than a year ago and did implement some minor route changes.
Any major route changes would likely lead to a survey, Hart said, since those alterations may require more financial assistance from the city.
“We can request anything, but if we don’t have the numbers to back that up, it’s a moot point to bring forward,” Hart said.
The Clinton MTA operates six fixed bus routes per day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
