NelsonCorp announces expansion

CLINTON — A Clinton financial firm is expanding its presence in Clinton.

NelsonCorp Wealth Management President David Nelson has announced a renewed commitment to the River Cities area with growth plans for the home office in Clinton.

NelsonCorp Wealth Management soon will be breaking ground on a 3100-square-foot addition to its Clinton location at 880 13th Ave. North. This state-of-the-art facility will adjoin the south side of the existing structure and will more than double the size of the current offices.

“We’ve been discussing for some time the need for additional space at our Clinton location to better accommodate the addition of specialized talent to our firm and to continue to fulfill the service commitment we have made to our clients in 22 states,” Nelson said. “This location serves as the nucleus office for four locations, including our Davenport office, and branch offices in Lake Villa, Ill., and Bettendorf.”

“We are very thankful for the support and encouragement from the Clinton Regional Development Corporation, specifically Rich Phelan for his time and energy assisting us with this process,” Nelson said. “As a homegrown boy, I wanted to keep our headquarters in Clinton. This is home. As many folks know, cities all over the country are competing for jobs and bringing talent to their area.”

“We are excited to see this continued commitment by NelsonCorp Wealth Management,” Phelan said. “Today’s landscape is very competitive for growing professional services companies. This is a big win for the River Cities area.

The new building will feature additional offices and conference rooms, including room large enough to host educational gatherings and many other events.

Construction began this month and is expected to be completed in spring 2014.
