Ansari named medical director at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehab Center

CLINTON — Eagle Point Nursing & Rehab Center has announced that Dr. Anis Ansari is the facility’s new medical director.

He has been practicing medicine for 20 years and joined Medical Associates in 1999. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is part of 40-physician group in which he is practicing both internal medicine and nephrology.

In 2012, Ansari was honored by Mercy Medical Center with the “Spirit of Excellence” award. Ansari was named “Leading Physician of the World” and “Top Nephrologist in Clinton” by The International Association of the Healthcare Professionals this year.

Ansari has served as chairman of the department of medicine and officer of medical staff at Mercy Medical Center many times.

He has written more than 30 articles on medical issues for community education. Ansari has privileges at the local hospital to provide care.

Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is located at 801 28th Ave. North, Clinton.

  • Judge denies guilty plea withdrawal

    A Clinton County District Court judge has denied a man's attempt at withdrawing a guilty plea.

    Eric R. Hook, 45, 900 S. 10th St., was sentenced last week to no more than five years in prison for willful injury causing bodily injury, a class D felony. He also was given a sentence of no more than two years in prison for domestic abuse assault, second offense, to be served concurrently.
