Two individuals struck a pizza delivery driver with a brick and then stole the food being delivered, according to the Clinton Police Department.
Police responded to 847 Fourth Ave. South at 10 p.m. Sunday in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, a delivery driver from Pizza Hut reported that he was attempting to deliver a pizza at the Fourth Avenue South residence when he was approached from behind by two individuals.
After being hit by a brick, the man said the individuals took the food and then used the brick to break out the rear window of his vehicle. The alleged thieves fled the scene.
The pizza delivery driver was treated at Mercy Medical Center for injuries sustained during the alleged robbery.
