John McEleney designated Prince of Peace Catholic School as the recipient of the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation gift of $2,000 in memory of his father, Warren J. McEleney.
John McEleney, as an Ambassador within this Foundation, may present a gift to an organization that provides emergency medical care, education, or units of economic education.
Warren McEleney was a 1939 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Clinton.
For many years he was president of McEleney Motors in Clinton and served on the board of directors of the National Automobile Dealers Association.
His son, John McEleney, also a graduate of St. Mary’s High School (1969) is the current president of McEleney Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Toyota (formerly McEleney Motors). He, like his father, was the Chairman of the National Auto Dealers Association.
Nancy Peart, principal, and Father Ken Kuntz, Pastor of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, accepted the check. Peart said, “We are so blessed to have the ongoing support of the McEleney family. We are proud of them as alumni and community members. We appreciate their generosity and will use this donation to provide the needed upgrade of several computers at Prince of Peace Catholic School.”
