Kahler book signing is Aug. 23

CLINTON — Alex Kahler, formerly of Clinton, will be doing a book signing at Guzzardo’s on Friday, Aug. 23, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

He is the son of Leslie Kahler and Kerry Kahler, both of Clinton, and has one brother, BJ.

Alex attended Clinton High School through his sophomore year. He attended Interlochen Fine Arts Academy in Michigan his junior and senior years, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Creative Writing.

In the past few years, Alex has taught circus in Amsterdam and Madrid, gotten madly lost in the Scottish wilderness, drummed with Norse shamans, and received his Masters in Creative Writing from Glasgow University.

He is the author of “Cirque Des Immortels” trilogy, which debuted in December 2012 from 47North. “Act Two” premiered in June. The third book “Final Act” will be out in January. “Martyr,” the first book in his post-apocalyptic YA fantasy series, “The Hunted,” will be published in October 2014 by Spencer Hill Press.

He now resides in Seattle.
