CLINTON — A Clinton man faces charges for allegedly exposing himself in front of children.
Ulmer E. Ellis, 52, 432 Second St., is charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication.
According to court documents, Clinton police were dispatched at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 29 to the 200 block of Second Avenue South for a male who exposed his genitalia. Dustin M. Streat, 222 Second Ave. South, reported that the man, later identified as Ellis, was standing in the back yard of 224 Second Ave. South when he dropped his pants, exposing his genitalia, which he then began to manipulate with his hand.
Streat added his girlfriend and two small children witnessed the incident.
The affidavit continues that when Streat confronted Ellis, he pulled up his pants and threatened to cut Streat’s throat. He then left the area, heading west.
Police located him staggering east on Second Avenue South and noticed an odor of alcohol on him. The affidavit states he failed field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test resulted in a .135 blood alcohol content.
