An East Texas man who was missing for two days has now been found.

Tyler police say the man, who has been identified as Alexander Guiliana, 56, of Tyler, was located Monday morning by family members who formed a weekend search party.

This morning the group heard a voice yelling for help and contacted first responders.

Initially, police said the man was trapped in a hole. The department later said the man was found sitting in a creek.

"On Monday, September 10, 2018, at 9:56 a.m., Tyler Police received a call from family of Guiliano that they had found him on the wooded property and that they needed help getting him out" the news release states. "Tyler Fire, EMS and Police responded to the area to assist. First responders removed Guiliano from a creek that he was sitting in and carried him out of the wooded area to the nearest road that was next to Brown Elementary School in Whitehouse, Texas."

Officials began searching for the 56-year-old man when his bike was recovered about 10:26 p.m. Friday in the 8300 block of Paluxy drive, according to Don Martin, Tyler Police Department public information officer.

His keys and personal property were recovered but there was no sign of the owner, Martin says.

A K-9 unit was called to the scene to search the area - which officials estimate is approximately 80 acres. When the K-9 unit was unable to hit on anything, a drone was then used for an aerial search.

Martin says the department was in the process of releasing a press release on the missing man when he was located in an area a few hundred yards from Mozelle Brown Elementary School in Whitehouse.

Tyler police officers, Tyler Fire Department and EMS all responded to the scene.

Martin says the quickest way to access the area was by entering a property near the school and driving to reach the remote location.

Martin says the man was found alive but details about his condition are unknown. He was transported to a hospital.

"Guiliano was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition," the TPD release states. "Guiliano told investigators at the scene that he had wandered off into the woods after leaving Coaches and Cowboys Club Thursday night or early Friday morning. Guiliano was found approximately a half a mile to the east through the woods from where he had left his motorcycle."

Tyler Police Department released a statement on the incident Monday afternoon. Read the full statement below:
