FULTON, ILL. — The River Cities Quilt Guild has elected new officers for the 2018 calendar year. The newly elected officers for next year are President Kathy Stewart; Treasurer Lu Tague; Secretary Sherry Schwartz; Publicity, Cheryl Edwards; Hospitality/Historian, Christine Nichols; Program, Susan May; and Newsletter, Sandy Shetler.

The guild welcomes guests to join its membership on Nov. 21. The guild meets at the Presbyterian Church in Fulton, at 7 p.m. Kim Rentz, the owner of Keeping You Sewing in Clinton, will be the speaker. She will be showing the group how to use thread painting in quilting projects. Thread painting is a way to add unique texture and dimension to quilts and sewing projects. She will also show the group a few new things that are available for the holiday sewing season.
