CLINTON — The WaMac Conference East Division has announced its boys basketball all-conference teams for the 2007-08 season and several area cagers have been honored.
Central DeWitt senior Kramer Steffens and Maquoketa junior Daniel Holmes were tabbed as first team selections for their play.
Steffens, who was also a Class 3A third team all-state selection, led the Sabers with a 14.5 scoring average and 38 3-pointers. Steffens also contributed 4.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game in leading Central to a 14-9 record.
Holmes led the Cardinals with 14.4 points and 4.6 assists per contest while pulling down 2.5 rebounds.
Central junior Michael Burke and Maquoketa junior Dillon O’Connell received second team honors.
Burke chipped in 7.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Sabers.
O’Connell showed his versatility in scoring 12.2 points per game on 33 3-pointers for the Cardinals, while adding 4.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.9 steals per contest.
