Peredna delivers the good News for Angels

Cam Peredna pitched five strong innings to get the win for the Angels.¬ Riley Cahill was four for four to pace the Angels offense.

Pete's Scoop Dodgers 2

Derry Police White Sox 0

This pitcher's duel featured complete game performances by both teams. For Pete's Scoop, Tom Olson threw a complete game, one-hit shutout, with 14 strikeouts and only two walks. Only one White Sox runner was allowed to get past first base. Tom also hit a double in the third inning to knock in the only two runs of the game. Adam Newman contributed to Pete's Scoop's victory with two hits, three stolen bases and a run scored. Andrew Mattuecci also had a two-hit day. The Derry Police were kept in the game with a strong pitching performance by Matt DuPont. Matt pitched all five innings for the White Sox, allowing only six hits, while striking out eight.

Itz Ohlson Phillies 11

Daigle Plumbing 10

Phillies won a tough back-and-forth game 11-10. Evan Touseau of the Phillies pitched three perfect innings to start game. Andreas Harb was on base multiple times and made a big catch in right field. Brandon Severino continues to play a strong outfield for the Phillies.

Pete's Scoop Dodgers 6

Steve Hall pitched five innings and recorded 10 strikeouts to get the win.¬ Chris Barry played a good defensive game at third base for the Pirates. Six different players scored runs for the Dodgers. Leading the way was Andrew Matteucci with a double, triple, 2 RBI's and a run scored. Andrew Brochu also had 2 hits, an RBI and a run scored. Spencer Chapman struck out seven batters in the three innings he pitched.

Itz Ohlson Phillies 7

The Pirates rallied from a 5-0 deficit in the fourth inning to score eight runs in the final three frames.¬ The game finished with a walk off¬ bases loaded double by Steve Hall in the bottom of the sixth inning scoring three runners to seal the victory.¬ Steve Hall went three for four and Nate Ralston was two for two with two walks and got the win on the mound for the Pirates. Austin Pereira made a great catch in center field for the Pirates in the top of the sixth inning.¬ For the Phillies, Trevor Williams went two for two with a two-run homer in the sixth inning to put the Phils up by two at the time.¬ 

AAA Division

Morgan Exteriors Rangers 10

The Giants got solid pitching and fielding from Shane McCann. Cam Jenkins made an alert play as a catcher by grabbing a hit ball and tagging the batter out. Devin McNeill contributed to the Giants offense with two hits. Nathan Barnhart came around to score from first base on a hit.

Tupelo Hall Astros 7

Fred Fuller Orioles 5

Astros rode the strong pitching of Josh Miller and Jared Lindfors to their¬ fifth win of the season. Josh Miller had the big blow driving in three runs. Austin Fields and Anthony Greenaway also contributed to the offense. Phillip Torres pitched brilliantly after a rough first inning for the Orioles going four innings and striking out seven. Phillip Torres aided himself with strong defensive plays combining with Noah Davis to pick off a runner at third and with Patrick Hanlon to cut down a runner at the plate. Josh Gore provided the offense by going 2-2. Umpire Bob Drisoll called a great game.

Fred Fuller Orioles 10

Betley Chevrolet Indians 4

The Orioles earned their first win of the season behind the stellar pitching of Brandon Levesque, Josh Gore and James Spencer as they combined for 16 strikeouts. The offense was led by Brandon Levesque as he went 2-4 with two doubles and three RBI's. Matthew Manning had three walks and scored three times while Patrick Hanlon and Tyler Haggett also came around to each score twice.

Handel with Care Blue Jays 10

Fred Fuller Orioles 1

The Handel With Care Blue Jays defeated the Fred Fuller Orioles in a game far closer than the final score showed. Blue Jays pitching led by Justin Lombard, Zachary Lombard and Shane Altenbach allowed only four hits while striking out 10 Orioles. Centerfielder Matt Hall led the defense with a diving catch, robbing Orioles' Pat Hanlon of certain extra bases. Blue Jays offense was led by Hall with two solid hits, while each of the Jays pitchers along with Jonathan Balis and Anthony Paone had one hit each. Tyler Haggett drew two walks and had the lone RBI for the Orioles, which also got a double from James Spencer.

Pitchers Robbie Kelley and Jeffrey Cole combined for four strikeouts and gave up four hits on the day for the Nationals. The offense had¬ seven hits on the day. Matthew Miloro went two for three with two singles, Tom Hanlon went one for two with a single,¬ Daniel Hoskins went one for two with a triple and Andrew Branchina went three for three with three singles.

Tupelo Hall Astros 1

Chase Dunajski pitched an awesome game as the Astros lost a nail-biter to the Athletics.¬  Dunajski had 14 strikeouts, while yielding only four hits and¬ one walk, in five strong innings. Joe Ronca had an inside-the-park homerun for the Astros, and Josh Miller had a double.¬

Handel with Care Blue Jays 4

The Astros combined a strong pitching effort by Austin Fields and Josh Miller with a balanced offensive attack for a hard-fought victory. Jared Lindfors also made an exceptional catch on a deep fly ball in left field.¬ Greg Lund led the offense with two hits. Blue Jays pitching led by Matt Hall and Anthony Paone struck out 12 Astros while allowing five hits. Paone helped out the cause by snagging an ankle-high line drive back to the mound. The Blue Jays offense started in the second when Zachary Davenport drove in Jonathan Balis. Brendan Lynch, Matt Hall and Paone also had hits that drove in runs.

Pitchers Andrew Branchina and Tom Hanlon combined for¬ 14 strikeouts and gave up¬ just¬ two hits on the day. The Nationals offense combined for just four hits on the day, all in the later innings. Tom Hanlon started it with a double in the fourth, followed by Daniel Hoskins with a single in the inning. The A's scored two in the bottom of the fifth to make it a 4-4 ballgame. A clutch single by Nationals Matthew Miloro started off the bottom of the sixth.¬ Daniel Hoskins singled to bring in Miloro for the winning run on a very close play at the plate.

Rangers' Matt Clark pitched five strong complete innings, allowing three hits, striking out 14 Blue Jays and no walks. Blue Jays pitching led by Jonathan Balis and Justin Lombard with 13 combined strike outs and seven hits, kept the Jays in the game. Kevin Campbell saved a run with an inning-ending force-out at third base, while Shane Altenbach caught a line drive down the first-base line. The Blue Jays offense staged a four-run last-inning rally with patient at bats and good base running by Sayward, Altenbach, Campbell and Matt Merrill, who all scored. Justin Lombard had a solo homerun while Anthony Paone drove in one run with a triple and Matt Hall also had a hit and scored a run.
