Good job, Kings!

It’s been quite a season. The performance of our Clinton High School River Kings football team has been magical over the past few weeks.

From game to game, the support has been growing, with letters to the editor and talk on the street reflecting the pride that has swelled within the community.

Sadly, the team’s season came to an end with its loss to Cedar Rapids Xavier tonight.

The loss does make us sad, but we know everyone is proud of our Kings, as well as the marching band, cheerleaders, managers — everyone who has played a role on and off the field.

And even though this season has drawn to a close, one thing is for sure: The pride we have in our CHS students — and our schools — lives on.
