Bridges is back! Our third edition of Bridges magazine has arrived and is available at the Clinton Herald’s front desk.

The goal of Bridges, which is written and put together by Herald staff members, is to bring you stories about interesting people and places in the area and at the same time provide you with information you can use for your everyday life.

This edition, which is free of charge, includes a look at Clinton’s Wild Rose Casino, the first land-based casino in Iowa; the new Clinton Marina; and the Children’s Discovery Center.

Readers also can learn about the HUGS program, sponsored by the Herald, which provides hats, undergarments, gloves and socks to area children; the Symphony of Lights, Clinton’s holiday light display in Eagle Point Park; and the Gateway Contemporary Ballet.

The spotlight also is on the Mercy Medical Center Denim & Diamonds event, the local Muddy River Rugby team and on the Camanche home of Jack and Lynne Darr, who graciously opened up their home to give us a tour for our readers.

As you can see, there is a lot inside this edition.
