---- — CLINTON — Two Clinton School District employees were on the verge of termination at Monday’s school board meeting, but one employee came out of it maintaining her position with the district.
Michelle Hagerman narrowly escaped termination Monday after the school board voted 4-3 against the recommendation to fire her, citing incomplete information warranting the termination. The board met in closed session on Monday to discuss the alleged violation of district rules against Hagerman, as indicated by nine employee complaints.
But the issue, according to Board President Jim McGraw, was that it was unclear to the board as to whether the nine complaints came from the same employee or from different employees.
Shirley Patey’s employment also was discussed Monday in a school board closed session meeting. A 6-1 vote approved the recommendation to terminate Patey due to a violation of district rules and regulations.
