Spring Lake

STORM LAKE — Alyssa Stout, from Goose Lake, was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2014 semester at Buena Vista University. Students named to the Dean’s List must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the semester, based on a 4.0 grade point system, and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.

Founded in 1891, Buena Vista University offers 43 majors and 15 pre-professional programs that blend liberal arts with real-world applications, preparing students for lifelong success.

Trinity Christian

Palos Heights, Ill. — In recognition of outstanding academic achievement, Trinity Christian College, Palos Heights, released the college’s Dean’s List for Spring 2014. Trinity students must be enrolled full time and earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average.

Local students include Erin Wessels of Fulton, Illinois; Joshua Hauck of Sterling, Illinois; and Anna Phillips and Emily Phillips of Tampico, Illinois.

Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Hannah Strike of Prophetstown has been named to the Illinois College Spring 2014 dean’s list. Strike is the daughter of David and Pamela Strike of Prophetstown, Ill.

Candidates for the dean’s list must complete at least 14 semester hours and post a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. All grades must be C or better, and no more than one C grade is allowed.

Illinois College is a residential liberal arts college fostering academic excellence rooted in opportunities for experiential learning while preparing students for 21st century careers. The college is located in Jacksonville.
