Eaton celebrates 15

years with State Farm



Jeff Eaton recently celebrated 15 years with State Farm Insurance.

Eaton and his family moved to Enid from Bethany in 1994. He currently has eight staff members, six of whom have their property, casualty, business, life and health license.



Snow named

Volunteer of the Year



Hospice Circle of Love longtime volunteer Naoma Snow was named the Volunteer of the Year by Oklahoma Hospice and Palliative Care Assoc-iation at the group’s annual meeting Oct. 20 in Tulsa. She was presented with a plaque during a luncheon.

Snow was the volunteer for Hospice Circle of Love’s first patient in 1983. She was among those who responded to an advertisement about a volunteer class taking place in the basement of University Place Christian Church.

Over the 26 years as a volunteer Snow has tended flower beds, mowed lawns and simply been a friend.

According to volunteer coordinator Julie Nelson, Snow is “always ready with a smile, some conversation and whatever TLC is needed while she is there for her visit. Naoma always goes above and beyond for the patients she sees.”

Snow has had some of her own family members receive care from Hospice Circle of Love. Being on the receiving end of the care gives her an insight into the families she has been assigned to.

“Since I have been on the other side, I know the help is sincere, welcome and needed,” she said.

Thailand seminars



Pa Duang Pon, owner of Thai Massage by Pon, has returned from an extended trip to Thailand, where she attended seminars and workshops to update her skills and learn new procedures to expand her services to clients. She studied how to develop an application technique for skin cleansing and smoothing using lotions of coconut milk, rice granules and Thai herbs. She plans to mix her own formulas using herbs from Thailand. She also participated in a seminar workshop that was a refresher course on deep tissue work that grows from the unique Thai concepts of physiology and body mechanics.
