Mother still searching for her son

By Cass Rains Staff Writer

Two and a half years after her son Donovan disappeared, Donna Nimmo’s wish remains the same — to have her son returned to her.

“I just want my son’s remains,” Nimmo said. “That’s all I want. Where is he?”

Despite a $25,000 reward for information, Nimmo’s question still goes unanswered.

Nimmo said she last saw her son in Enid on Jan. 19, 2005. His car was found in Blaine County the next day. She said her son was last seen with two people in Watonga.

Nimmo has said she believes her son, who was 29 when he was reported missing, was murdered by one of the two people her son was last seen with, after he went to retrieve his cell phone.

She reported Donovan missing to Enid Police Department Feb. 3, 2005.

More than two weeks ago, Oklahoma State Bureau of investigators received a tip to search for remains in a well northeast of Hitchcock, an OSBI spokeswoman said.

“We got a tip where some possible remains might be and we searched,” said Jessica Brown. “But nothing was found.

“We’re going to follow every lead we’re given,” Brown said.

Assistant District Attorney Mike Fields said the investigation into Donovan Nimmo’s disappearance was continuing.

Since his disappearance, Nimmo said she has not forgotten her son.

“There’s not a day I don’t think about my son,” she said.

Anyone with information concerning Nimmo’s disappearance is asked to call Blaine County Sheriff’s office at (580) 623-5111, OSBI at (800) 522-8017 or Nimmo at (580) 402-1918.
