Rose Ann 'Rosie' Pritchard

Rose Ann “Rosie” Pritch-ard, 85, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2009. She was born July 30, 1924, in Enid, Okla., to Merle and Gladys Sheets. She was a widow, mother of one, grandmother of three and great-grandmother of seven.
Rose Ann graduated from Enid High School in 1942. She married Edgar Allen (Pritch) Pritchard in Novem-ber 1945 and resided in Enid, Okla. During the years, they had residence in Longdale, Okla., and McAllen, Texas, until moving to Lakeside, Ariz., in 1984. In 1999 they moved to the East Valley of Phoenix, settling in Apache Junction, Ariz., in 2001.
During her lifetime, Rose Ann managed a local retail store in Canton Lake and worked secretarial positions for Groendyke Transportation and 3-Star Construction. She was active in Eastern Star. Mostly she was proud to raise her kid and grandchildren.
Rose Ann is survived by her brother, William T. Sheets and his wife Jean of Duncan, Okla., and their extended family; daughter, Patricia Ann Pritchard of Apache Junction, Ariz.; her grandson, Todd Allen Jones of Dallas, Texas; her granddaughter, Carra Diane Henscheid and her husband Ken of Flagstaff, Ariz., and their four daughters, Stephanie, Alexis, Kendra and Brooklyn and her granddaughter, Amy Kathleen Leppert and her husband Timothy of Spearfish, S.D., and their two daughters, Lauren and Arynn and son, Caleb.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Rose Ann’s name to Odyssey VistaCare Hospice Founda-tion, 717 N. Harwood, Suite 1500, Dallas, TX 75201, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
A memorial service for Mrs. Pritchard will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, Ariz., where interment will be with her husband. Mariposa Gar-dens Funeral Care, Mesa, AZ (480) 830-4422.
