PC-H hosts Cherokee

for playoff spot tonight



Pond Creek-Hunter will host Cherokee tonight in a game which will decide fourth-place and the final playoff spot in District B-1.

Both teams are 4-3 in district and 5-4 overall.

Cherokee is looking to reach the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

KNID (107.1 FM) will broadcast the game.

The series is tied 10-10 since 1976.



EJRT Cowboys to hold

fundraiser at Chick-fil-A



The Cowboys third- and fourth-grade and fifth- and sixth-grade EJRT football teams will hold a fundraiser today at Chick-fil-A.

Anyone mentioning the Cowboys will have a portion of their purchase go toward the teams.



Gale earns LSC

South player honor



Alva’s Mitchell Gale, of Abilene Christian, has been voted the Lone Star South Conference’s Player of the Week for his play against Texas A&M-Kingsville.

The redshirt freshman quarterback was 24 of 34 passing for 289 yards and two touchdowns. He has started the last five games.



EHS softball banquet

scheduled for Monday



Tickets have gone on sale for Enid’s softball banquet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the high school cafeteria. The banquet honors both the middle school and high school teams. Tickets can be purchased from any middle school or high school player or coach. Cost is $11 in advance and $15 at the door.

team selling hams



Northern Oklahoma College Enid’s baseball program is selling Thanksgiving hams as a fundraiser.

Sugar hams are $30 and smoked hams are $35. The hams are from 8 to 12 pounds. Orders must be placed by Nov. 13.

Hams can be picked up Nov. 21 at the NOC Enid campus. Hams also can be delivered.
