Ballet company plans fundraiser

— CLINTON — Gateway Contemporary Ballet will celebrate National Dance Week this month with a fund-raising even-ing of dinner and ballroom dancing at Gil's Ballroom.
“Spring Fling” April 18 will begin with a cash bar at 6 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. Dancing from 8 to 10 p.m. will be to the vocals of Travis Hosette, well-known for his singing in the style of the late Frank Sinatra. Members of GCB will be performing during the intermissions.
A silent auction of many valuable coupons and gifts from local merchants will also be an ongoing part of the evening. The buffet menu includes Tuscany stuffed chicken breast and tilapia filet, with assorted salads, vegetables and French bread. Desserts are mini cheesecakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, flan and tiramisu.
Price is $25 per person. For reservations or information, call 242-1002 or 242-7673. Reservations are due April 14. Proceeds from “Spring Fling” will help fund expenses of the company's upcoming production, “Under the Sea,” an original two-act ballet April 27 at the Clinton Masonic Center.
