CLINTON — A free outdoor pops concert will close activities for Clinton Symphony Orchestra’s 59th season.
The concert is at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the bandshell at Riverview Park.
The program will feature music from the movies and Broadway, as well as patriotic pieces. The 50 musicians of the orchestra will be conducted by Brian Dollinger. Rainsite is under the U. S. Bank building at North Third Street and Fourth Avenue South.
The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center will have activities for beginning by 6 p.m., and orchestra musicians have been asked to mingle with them, with their instruments, prior to the concert.
The concert has been a tradition for several years. It thanks the community for their support, and offers an opportunity for those who have not yet been to an indoor concert a chance to hear the orchestra.
Clinton Symphony’s annual social and fundraiser auction takes place Friday at Rastrelli’s Tuscany Room. Reservations are still available, and can be made at (563) 447-0080, or on the symphony’s website at www.clintonsymphony.org.
Seating is $40 per person, or a table of eight for $240.
The evening will include an appetizer buffet, entertainment and silent and live auctions of items. A list of auction items is available on the website.
