MORRISON, Ill. — The River Cities Quilt Guild is holding its biannual quilt show in Morrison on Saturday and Sunday at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 202 E. Morris St.
Show hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The show, entitled “Jewels of the Fall”, is at a larger location. There will be quilts and quilt-related items on display, including last year’s “Pizza Box Challenge.”
Janette Dwyer, quilt appraiser, returns for this show. She has done appraisals throughout the Illinois and Iowa areas.

Door prizes will be awarded throughout the show. Entries are included with the $3 admission. All door prizes will be awarded. There will also be giveaways and information from different quilt-related companies.
Demonstrations will be held both days, alternating with an informative bed turning program.
A plated luncheon will be served for the first time, on both days, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be seven vendors offering different merchandise for holiday shopping, along with a Quilters’ Boutique, with items handmade by quilt guild members.
Seasonal raffle baskets and the guild’s Raffle Quilt will have tickets available for purchase. Raffle basket themes are seasonal.
