---- — MAQUOKETA — The Hurstville Interpretive Center will host a mock dig this weekend.
The even will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the center, located 1 mile north of Maquoketa on U.S. 61.
During the activity, participants will dig for artifacts and learn how archaeologists find clues about the past and use those clues to learn more about how people lived. The program is free and open to the public.
