---- — CLINTON — The Clinton Area Showboat Theatre will hold auditions next week for its community holiday production of “A Christmas Carol.”
The auditions will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Showboat.
Adults should prepare a dramatic monologue no more than three minutes in length. Children interested in auditioning for the part of Tiny Tim should prepare to sing “Silent Night.” Actors of all ages are needed.
Cold readings will be provided and some may be asked to sing from a selection of Christmas carols.
“A Christmas Carol,” written by Charles Dickens and adapted by Jay Berkow, will be performed in the Hilary Mullany Theatre at Ashford University on Dec. 6 through 8 and 13 through 15. Kris Doss will direct and design sets for the production.
He will be assisted by Stage Manager Brandon Winter, Assistant Stage Manager Sydney Cronin, Technical Director/Lighting Designer Nick Divarco, Music Composition/Director Matt Engelson and Costume Designer Sue Markel.
Rehearsals will begin with a read-through on Nov. 10 and will generally be held Tuesdays through Saturdays in the evenings.
Tickets for the CAST production of “A Christmas Carol” are $15 general admission available at the door.
